If its got a crossfall or something else going on.it's virtually impossible to recreate properly in revit you'd be better off drawing it in CAD and projecting from orthogonal views to get your shape right then just linking that into revit.

The application is able to import all or selected Scope Boxes from a linked Revit project into your project, as well as checking if yours and the linked Scope Boxes are the same - if they are different you're able to Synchronize your Scope Boxes to match those in the linked project. Just have some simple drafting lines basically a rectangle with some manageable parameters and makes things easy for spitting these kind of developed walls out easily. From the developer: Scope Box Synchronizer helps you to sync scope boxes between Revit projects.

Its not that big a deal other than its not automatic - I mean its a simple formula and you could actually (to a degree) automate drawing curved elements with some 2D families and some formulas built in to an occurrence parameter. We do the formwork plans, and also the reo plans so we need "true" lengths. I'll say that for structure, where I am at least, it is an obligation to "develop" curved walls. The goal is still to use revit as much as i can to not be trap to manually change every little changes the design team will do to does walls.Īt the moment my idea was to just creat a 2D drawing and calculate every lenght of every wall etc, but this solution would mean that i would need to adjust everything manually everytime. So if you guy know a good workaround i would greatly appreciate. The following versions: 3.2 and 1.0 are the most frequently downloaded ones by the program users.

If you guys know a way of doing this, i'd be very happy to try.īut since i doult that this is possible i would ask you guys for advice as for how to procede with those elevations. (Note that my walls are a constant curved wall, so doing multiple straight elevations sections, then placing them next to eachother on a sheet wont work) My understanding is that, it is impossible in Revit. I read alot of diffrent post about trying to obtain a developed élévation of a curved wall in Revit. The contractor and our design crew both need to have those curved wall in a straight up form with the real dimensions so they can do their design magics.

I am running 2014 Revit 圆4 with Update 2 installed. My goal is to produce a developed elevation of multiple curved walls. So I'm wondering if it's just my setup? I did have another co-worker try and they got the same results. It doesn't matter what the template is or what view it is in, it appears when the discipline is changed away from an MEP view discipline setting. They work fine in Arch, Struct & Coodrination, but not Mech, Plumb or Elec. Only then did I figure out that the scope box changes to "invisible" when the view's discipline is set to any MEP discipline. I tried this same thing in our Architectural template and the scope box behaved normally. Makes it hard to find unless I know where it is. Only by hovering over it do I have the ability to see and select it. Once the scope box is drawn and deselected, it appears to be gone. In a new file created from our MEP template, I hop into a plan view and draw a scope box. Something I haven't run into before and haven't found much of anything online about it.
